Bu yıl 7-18 Nisan tarihleri arasında düzenlenecek olan 42. İstanbul Film Festivali’nde ilk kez izleyiciyle buluşacak olan Aşk, Ateş ve Anarşi Günleri, Sinematek’in Türkiye’deki etkisinin ve gelişiminin izini sürerken Onat Kutlar’ın yaşam öyküsünü de beyaz perdeye taşıyor.
Onat Kutlar tarafından 1965 yılında kurulan Türk Sinematek Derneği, 12 Eylül darbesine kadar faaliyetlerini sürdürdü. 12 Eylül Darbesi’yle kapatılan dernek, “ticari” sinemalarda gösterilmesi dönem açısından mümkün olmayan sayısız filmin tanıtılmasına ve gösterilmesine katkı sağladı. Bünyesindeki kütüphanesiyle ve düzenlediği paneller, konferanslar ve sergilerle de sinemaseverler için bir okul görevi gördü.
